Geography
Our intent is to inspire in all our pupils a lifelong curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. We want our children to leave primary school with a deep understanding of the planet's diverse places, people, resources, and environments, and a strong sense of their own place within it.
How is the subject taught?
We use our very own unique and tailor-made progressive and engaging curriculum to ensure children develop key geographical knowledge. Pupils will be taught how to read, create, and interpret maps, use globes, atlases, and digital mapping tools (like Google Earth). They will also learn how to collect, analyse, and present data through fieldwork and geographical enquiry.
Our geography curriculum is designed to go beyond memorising facts by promoting respect, helping children understand the connections between people and the environment and developing an awareness of our local area.
