Start your day right with a healthy breakfast at school!

Current Breakfast Club Provision

Breakfast Club starts at 7.45am and finishes at 8.40am when the children are released to their class teachers.

Children can have a healthy breakfast with their friends then relax and play games until it is time to start lessons.

Breakfast club is £2.50 a day per child, payable via the school gateway app.

Breakfast Club changes from Term 5.

We are pleased to inform you that Northdown has been granted new government funding to support the provision of breakfast clubs. This funding will be received in April 2026 and will allow us to offer a free breakfast club from Term 5.

From Monday 21 April 2026 (Term 5), the breakfast club will operate as follows:

Free Breakfast Club

• Time: 08:15 – 08:45

• Cost: Free of charge

• Entry arrangements:

  • The school gate on Tenterden Way will be unlocked from 08:15.

  • Parents/carers may walk their child to the main office.

  • There must be a clear handover from the child’s adult to a member of staff.

• Booking:

  • The breakfast club must be booked at least two weeks in advance via school gateway to allow us to order the appropriate amount of food. If the session is not booked, your child will not be permitted to join the session.

• Last entry:

  • 08:30 – the gate will be locked at this time and no further entry will be possible.

Paid Breakfast Club (unchanged provision)

• Time: 07:45 – 08:15

• Cost: £2.00 per session (reduced from £2.50)

• Booking: will also need to be booked in advance via school gateway.

We hope this new funding and provision will be of great benefit to our families and help ensure children are settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.
