Safeguarding Ambassadors
⭐ Meet the Northdown Safeguarding Ambassadors!
The TKAT Safeguarding Ambassador program is all about giving students the power to look out for each other and make school a safe place. These are our amazing student leaders who get special training so they can become the ultimate champions of child safety. They make sure every single classmate has a voice when it comes to important well-being stuff. The main goal? To build a supportive, open school culture across school where children feel safe, confident, and know they can speak up if something's wrong.
What Do The Ambassadors Actually Do?
These ambassadors are all about jumping in early and educating their friends. Think of them as the go-to safety team:
-
Getting Your Voice Heard: They're a direct link between students and the grown-ups. They collect concerns from their peers and share ideas about how the school can make its safety rules even better.
-
Teaching the Whole School: They're front and centre, helping run assemblies and creating awareness campaigns to teach everyone about staying safe and protective measures.
-
Fighting Unkindness: A huge part of their job is working hard to change bad attitudes and behaviours around bullying and peer-on-peer issues, making school a kinder place for everyone.
-
Shining a Light on Online Life: They help everyone understand tricky but important things like online bullying and how to be smart and safe on the internet.
-
Being a Friendly Face: They're approachable points of contact, offering informal chats and guidance to friends who might need a little help or just some reassurance.
