Religious Education
Choose a subject:
Religious Education (RE) at Northdown is both rigorously academic and personally significant.
We follow the Emmanuel Project, teaching pupils to:
- Enquire: Ask deep questions about truth, belief, and morality.
- Understand: Explore the practices and core beliefs of major world religions.
- Reflect: Consider their own place in the world and develop a sense of identity.
In an increasingly diverse society, Religious Education at Northdown is essential for fostering social cohesion and personal growth. We provide a safe, inclusive space for students, of all faiths or none, to reflect on their own values while learning about others. Our lessons encourage pupils to celebrate diversity and develop the "religious literacy" needed to participate positively in their local and global communities.
