Welcome back! We hope that you have all had a great holiday. Term four is going to be an exciting and full term.
We are looking at the author Geoffrey Chaucer with a focus on The Canterbury Tales. We will be looking at the history behind Geoffrey Chaucer, including who he was and what he is famous for.
We are looking at multiplication, division, area and perimeter.
During Literacy, our book we are reading is The Canterbury Tales. We will be specifically focusing on The Knight's Tale; a story of love between Palamon, Arcite and Emily. We will be writing a wishing tale for our narrative and creating a biography about Geoffrey Chaucer.
Spelling tests will be every fifth spelling lesson.
PE is every Friday.

Lessons for the week beginning: 20/04/20
Writing: Write a story about a brother and sister who get lost in the Australian outback (research what this is if you are unsure!) and ensure that you remember to include the five different parts to a narrative.
Maths: Look at recognising tenths and hundredths (worksheet/lesson ideas can be found at the bottom of the page).
Science: To find out that sounds are made when objects and materials vibrate. Children will find a worksheet at the bottom of the page that has some small investigations for them to carry out if possible. Children then need to answer the questions that have been given.
Spelling: This weeks spellings are looking at adding the prefix -inter (meaning 'between' or 'among'.) Activities for this can be found at the bottom of the page.
Topic - Australia (to design an Australian themed passport). Look at a passport you have at home/the PowerPoint at the bottom of the page called 'Passports'. Identify the information that is found in all passports and then create your very own passport themed around the country of Australia.
