Our Vision: - Our school council works together as a team to ensure we can be the best school possible by discussing ideas and making decisions. We aim to make pupils feel comfortable, happy and safe at school by helping to create a friendly, creative and exciting school environment.
Our Work To Help The Community We Live In
Help us to make a child smile this Christmas
Due to last years success, we have decided to repeat this act of kindness. We would like to make many more children smile this Christmas just like we did last year. Toy donations are being taken in at Edler class and will be distributed amongst the local children centres and also Rainbow ward up at QEQM.
Our Work To Help Improve Our School Community
As part of our work to make others happy at Christmas we thought it would be a wonderful idea to raise money to buy children who have to be in hospital over Christmas a present. Therefore, at the Christmas Fair we are holding a stall (Guess the Snowman's Name) and would really appreciate as many of you as possible to come and support us. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Shoe boxes for Lent
So it is the time of year when we give up something for Lent but as a school council we have decided to give something instead. We have collected anything people have had hanging around the house and made boxes up to give to the Salvation army who will then pass on to others who would be in need of it. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have made donations.
Whilst talking to our classes about how we could improve our school we found that School Clubs was a huge aspect of school life that our school community wanted to change. It has been expressed that, although there are many clubs available to students, there are only sports based clubs being offered therefore we felt it necessary to put out a school questionnaire to children to find out what other clubs they would like to see available to them.
As a school council we wanted to improve spellings in our school therefore we have worked closely with Mrs Provost-Lines to ensure that every child is learning spellings everyday. Its has been great fun seeing so many children getting 10 out of 10 in their weekly spelling tests. Watch this space for competition time.
