Hello my name is Jack and I was given the role of chair for the PTFA at the start of the academic year 2018/2019. I am currently a Year 4 teacher at this school and have been teaching here for the last 4 years. I decided to join the PTFA this year as I feel that the school community needs to be closer together in all that we do for the children in our local area. We all enjoy having fun and raising much needed funds for the children. It is very rewarding to see the children enjoying themselves at the events we hold.
Elected PTFA members
Chair: Jack Kirkby
Treasurer: Sally Potter
Secretary: Caz Charlottes
There is also a small group of people who volunteer their time where possible to help raise funds for the children.
At our last major event (Our Christmas Fayre) the PTFA made a profit of £647. This was used to help support a project that our Eco-Warriors had set up which involved purchasing a water bottle for every child.
Our next goal is to purchase a sensory room for our school.
How you can help
As parents/carers you are automatically a member of the PTFA and we really do need your support. It is totally flexible and you do not have to attend PTFA meetings - there are a variety of ways you can help....
Just 30 minutes of your time would be invaluable to the PTFA. If we all gave up 30 minutes of our time just think what we could achieve.
Please talk to Mrs Potter, Mr Kirkby or our office staff if you are interested in joining.
