Letter to the Children from Headteacher

27th March 2020

Dear Children

I know that this week must have felt very strange for you, staying at home, not going to school and not seeing your friends. It has been strange for all of us at Northdown too.

We all love films and cartoons about superheroes and now we need you to be the superheroes at home. By staying there and not coming to school, you are quite literally saving lives! Every mission has to have a name and so perhaps you could email your class teachers with your suggestions.

But that doesn’t mean that we don’t miss you and care about you. WE all know that you are clever; we see all of the amazing things that you achieve every day. Now it is your turn to show the adults in your home how amazing at learning you really are!

The Class Pages on our website are updated by your teachers regularly and there is a class email address so that you can email and show your teacher your fantastic work and they can reply to you.  I’m sure that your adults will be planning other exciting things to do at home too so if you’d like to send us photos of these, I know your teachers would love it.

Remember to continue to be superheroes and hopefully we will all be back at school soon. In the meantime, keep safe and keep learning!
