Free School Meals During Easter Holidays

Dear Parents and Carers,

Free School Meals During the Easter Period

You will be aware that although school is closed to most pupils we have continued to offer free school meals to all those entitled via a voucher scheme. Under normal circumstances free school meals stop during school holidays.

However, as a result of the current COVID 19 crisis, we have decided to continue to offer free school meals to those entitled via the voucher scheme. These are E-vouchers that will be sent out by the school automatically to those entitled, there is no need to request them.  This offer is for all those (from Reception to Year 6) who meet the Government criteria for free school meals but does not include “Universal infant free school meals”.

We have taken this decision to provide extra support to families during these difficult times.   Free school meals during term time are funded by the Government, this offer for free school meals over the Easter break has had to be funded by the school.

We are proud of the part we are playing in helping to combat COVID 19 by keeping the school open for the children of key workers and vulnerable pupils.  Please continue to play your part by following the Government's advice to regularly wash your hands, stay at home and social distance.

If you have any questions about the free school meal offer, please contact us via the school office.
