Over the last year, the current Coronavirus pandemic has hit many families and school communities hard, in more ways than many of us ever imagined. One of the biggest challenges many of our families now face is providing the very basics needed to grow and learn, such as food, toiletries, and basic school uniform.
Having recognised the new challenges our community now faces, we have taken the initiative to set up a food bank within the school, that can be accessed by our families when they need it most. We strongly believe in our aim to serve our community in every way possible, to lay firm foundations for our children to thrive physically, emotionally, and educationally.
With your help and support, Northdown Primary school will strive to build our vision of children and families ‘exploring new horizons – raising aspirations’ through supporting the community in many different ways and often the unexpected.
Just like you, there’s nothing more important to us than seeing our children get the nutrition they need and deserve. The pantry will provide straightforward delicious recipe cards for all the family to get involved, along with the ingredients you need.

We recognise that life can throw many curveballs our way without a moment’s notice and can find ourselves in need of support in ways we never thought possible. This is why we have set up a food bank to discretely support those families in need. If you or someone you know is in a time of difficulty then please use this confidential form and a member of our team will be in contact.
