Welcome to Northdown Nursery!

Graded 'GOOD' Ofsted November 2017

'The early years is well led ...Children in the early years benefit from a bright and well-established learning environment'

We provide and develop each child to their full potential, socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually within a safe and secure environment.  Our stimulating resources and carefully designed focused learning opportunities reflects the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum of which is delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff.

Our staff team are committed to ensuring each child is treated as an individual and that their enjoyment, development and happiness is the focus of what we do.  The safeguarding of all children is central to the education that we provide and adheres to the statutory guidance outlined in the EYFS framework 2017.

All of our EYFS staff hold a current 'Paediatric First Aid' qualification.

At Northdown Nursery, we pride ourselves in developing strong partnerships with parents as we know that effective communication between staff and parents will ensure that your child receives the very best start in their education with us.  As parents and carers you will have the opportunity to participate in Nursery events, contribute to children's learning journals and share information through daily discussions with key workers and receive important news via termly newsletters.

At Northdown Nursery, we provide education for children from the age of three and currently offer the 15 hours Government funded sessions.

If your child is turning three or is already three and you would be interested in a free Nursery place within our setting, please contact our friendly members of staff in the main school office, to arrange a visit and to pick up an admissions pack.

The provision we are able to offer is across five consecutive mornings or five consecutive afternoons. At present, due to the current low birth rate in the area, we are only open for the morning sessions; however, should the numbers of interest for a place increase we may be able to provide afternoon sessions once again. Just add your name to our current waiting list.

Our morning sessions run from 8:45 to 11:45.

Our afternoon sessions would run from 12:15 to 3:15.

We do not provide lunch within these sessions but children have access to a healthy snack.

Please take a look at our Nursery Class Page to take a closer look at the exciting and high quality provision that we provide for our children.
